"Forest of neurons"
This illustration is dedicated to Santiago Ramón y Cajal was not only a neuroscientist, but also an artist. In his works science meets art. Cajal’s illustrations are stunningly beautiful and show dendrites which look like trees. I was inspired by them, embroidering the forest of neurons explored by the researcher. In this forest of dendrites the scientist explores the world around with the curiosity of a child, wades through the forest of the unknown, looks for new points of view and creates something uncommon. I was trying to follow the steps of Cajal and with the help of art show his interest and admiration for a human body.
