For this portfolio project, I designed an embroidered package for a can of sardines that captures both the rich tradition of Portuguese sardines and the warm and cosy atmosphere of outdoor picnics.
Concept & Inspiration
Canned sardines have long been a staple of Portuguese cuisine, embodying a rich cultural heritage that dates back centuries. The vibrant colors and intricate designs found on traditional sardine cans have always stood out, and I wanted to pay homage to that legacy while infusing a touch of modernity.
The goal was to create packaging that would resonate with both local and international consumers, evoking a sense of tradition and comfort.
